During the swimming season, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit conducts weekly water tests at public beaches in the area for the presence of E. Coli bacteria.

If the water test shows high levels of E. Coli present, the Renfrew County and District Health Unit will issue a beach closure.

The Muskrat Watershed Council is currently monitoring these updates as they are released for all public beaches in our watershed.
